NDIS price guide changes 2026–27.
The 2026–27 NDIS pricing changes took effect on 1 July 2026: support worker price limits rose about 4.8% (the standard weekday hour is now $73.58), psychology limits went up while dietetics and exercise physiology came down, SIL moved to new 0138 support items, and a new NDIS Pricing Schedule replaced the annual PAPL document.
Every 1 July the prices you are allowed to bill change, and this year the document itself changed too. Here is what moved, what stayed put, and exactly what to update in your systems — with the old and new limits side by side.
Effective 1 July 2026. Figures below are from the NDIA’s 2026–27 NDIS Pricing Schedule, published following the Annual Pricing Review. Always verify against the current schedule at ndis.gov.au before you bill.
Support worker price limits: up 4.8%
Supports priced on the disability support worker cost model — assistance with self-care, community participation and similar 1:1 supports — rose in line with the Fair Work Commission’s 2026 Annual Wage Review flowing through the SCHADS Award. The standard 1:1 ladder now looks like this:

Hourly rates shown are the standard 1:1 limits. Every figure is a cap, not a fixed price — and the cap that applies is decided by the date the support was delivered, not the date it is claimed. To price a shift at the new limits, use our NDIS rate calculator.
Therapy and other supports: some up, some down
The Annual Pricing Review rebalanced allied health rather than indexing it across the board. Psychology rose, two disciplines fell, and most other therapy limits were held.

The structural changes (these break billing systems, not budgets)
The rate movements are the easy part — the 2026–27 update also restructured how several supports are claimed. If your July claims are rejecting, it is almost certainly one of these:
- A new document: the NDIS Pricing Schedule. There is no 2026–27 PAPL. The Pricing Schedule now carries the price tables you bill against, while the claiming rules from the 2025–26 arrangements continue to apply in the interim. Providers now work from two documents.
- SIL moves to 0138. Supported Independent Living delivered from 1 July 2026 claims under new 0138 support items, replacing the old 0115 group. Service bookings and support allocations need to be updated before July SIL claims will pay.
- Therapy modifiers become their own line items. Cancellations, non-face-to-face time, provider travel, NDIA-requested reports and telehealth now claim under suffixed line items (_CA, _NF, _PT, _RR, _TH) for each discipline, with a new telehealth claim type. Map your billing codes before submitting.
- Short-term accommodation unbundled. The old bundled daily STA price is split into an accommodation component aligned to the medium-term accommodation rate, plus separate support items by day and time.
- Short-notice cancellations tightened for non-support-worker supports. The claimable window for supports not priced on the support worker cost model (therapy, for example) moved to 2 business days. Check what a cancellation is worth with our cancellation checker.
In total the schedule added 33 support items and removed 25. Participant plans were indexed from 13 July 2026 so funding keeps pace with the new limits — but where a price change affects an existing service agreement, you must agree the new price with the participant before billing it.
Don’t forget the pay side moved too
The same 1 July that lifted what you can bill also lifted what you must pay: the SCHADS Award minimums rose with the Annual Wage Review, effective the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2026. Your margin is the gap between the two ladders, so update both together. For NDIS providers updating billing systems: the 2026–27 NDIS Pricing Schedule applies to supports delivered on or after 1 July 2026. The standard 1:1 support worker limits are $73.58 (weekday), $81.07 (weekday evening), $103.54 (Saturday), $133.50 (Sunday) and $163.46 (public holiday). What is the NDIS Pricing Schedule and how is it different from the PAPL?
For 2026–27 the NDIA did not publish a new Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL) document. Instead it released the NDIS Pricing Schedule — the price tables providers bill against from 1 July 2026. The claiming rules from the 2025–26 arrangements continue to apply in the interim, so providers work from two documents: the new schedule for prices, the previous arrangements for rules.
Do the new rates apply to shifts delivered before 1 July 2026?
No. Price limits apply by the date the support is delivered, not the date it is claimed. A shift delivered on 30 June 2026 bills at the 2025–26 limits even if you claim it in July, and a shift on 1 July or later bills at the new limits. Around the changeover, expect claim batches that legitimately contain both rate sets.
Which therapy rates changed in 2026–27?
Psychology price limits increased from $232.99 to $252.99 per hour. Dietetics decreased from $188.99 to $178.99, and exercise physiology decreased from $166.99 to $161.99. Most other therapy price limits were held at 2025–26 levels. Separately, every therapy discipline’s modifiers — cancellation, non-face-to-face time, provider travel, NDIA-requested reports and telehealth — now appear as their own suffixed line items.
What should NDIS providers do about the 2026–27 price changes?
Update the rates in your billing system so supports delivered from 1 July 2026 claim at the new limits; map SIL services to the new 0138 support items; map therapy billing to the new suffixed modifier line items; and where a price change affects an existing service agreement, agree the new price with the participant before billing it.
